 The Plumbing Designer, as a member of a cross-disciplinary engineering team, will focus on production of construction documents, drawings and specifications for a variety of project types: healthcare, higher education, central plants, K-12, corporate, cultural, energy and sustainability projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and construction administration of plumbing systems
• Produce high quality deliverables for clients at all stages of design
• Participate in meetings, internally and externally, to collaborate with other team members and clients
• Travel with team members for onsite collaboration and investigation

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing design and consultation

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CAD, Revit, and other design software
• Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) credential highly encouraged

• Must be detail oriented and quality driven

• Must have strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and mechanical construction documents
• Ability to prioritize, organize and execute multiple assignments simultaneously

The Structural Designer is responsible for preparation of design drawings, permit application packages, report preparation, field investigations, and inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems in overall project designs.
• Coordinate structural design on multidisciplinary project teams including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing
• Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to ensure performance, efficiency, and safety of MEP systems
• Provide routing design for HVAC and Electrical systems through structural elements
• Ensure that all designs are compliant with local codes and regulations
• Provide technical expertise to project managers and other engineers
• Work closely with clients and contractors to ensure project success
• Survey existing site conditions
• Create complete and accurate drawings, plans, diagrams, details & notes for use in construction document packages
• Conduct site visits and provide support during construction
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• 2+ years related experience with proficiency in structural analysis
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software
• Must be detail oriented and quality driven
• Must have strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
